Motherhood is Tough

Motherhood is tough. Being a mom is not a job for the weak. Physically, Mentally, Emotionally.

I think sometimes we as moms forget that other moms are also struggling. Struggling to train our children right.

To teach them manners. To teach them good behavior.

I learned this last weekend when I was at a park and Ben kicked a boy his age. I had him apologize and I apologized to the mother. The boy was fine, but the mother went off on me and I remembered a proverb. A soft answer turns away wrath.

Well, it turned away her anger but maybe slightly. I was fearful and almost had to call the police.

As mothers lets remember that other moms are teaching there children to play nicely with others. To remember that motherhood should not be a competition or judgmental job.

To help each other.

Encourage each other and to bless others when they are feeling defeated.

5 Ways to Bless Other Moms

1. Send a card

A little note in the mail or quietly slipped into a diaper bag at a play date will encourage that mom. It will make her day brighter and put a smile on her face.

2.Bring coffee to a play date

We all have been that mom getting up at 3am for feedings, getting up and holding that sick child. Encourage her with some caffeine!

3.Offer to watch her kiddos for a quiet time away

Sometimes one hour even brings some more patience, peace and rest to a mom.

4. Tell her she is doing a good job

Words of encouragement go a long way.

5. Pray for her

Pray. It is that simple. Then send a short message to her via text, email or Facebook and tell her you did. God knows all.

How would you bless another mom? I would love to hear your ideas.
