Interview with a 4 year old
I officially have a 4 year old. Benjamin Conner entered this world at 2:31 AM on this day 4 years ago. I am still taking it all in, no longer is he a baby or toddler. He is a preschooler, young little boy with a free spirit that I love so much.
Dear Ben,
You made me a mom and I am loving every minute of this adventure you have your Daddy and I on. You haven't been the easiest to parent since you have your Dad's strong will and free spirit and your Mom's stubbornness. You have definitely had us scrambling around to learn how to encourage and train your little free spirited heart. From the moment you were born we knew you were going to be a leader (and a strong one!). And you are growing in that position with having a little brother and taking charge when in public with other kiddos.
You don't hesitate to take on a difficult task and you love an adventure. You always remind me of your Dad with your sense of humor and adventurous spirit. I am always pushing myself out of my comfort zone because you love to be outside yours.
You love to give your brother kisses while he is sleeping and constantly tell me "I love my brother, he's my friend". You are consistently watching him when we are at the park and keeping guard over him.
Ben, I love the boy you are becoming. You may be free spirited but with that you have a kind heart, a sense of humor, curiosity that has so many questions and a risk taker.
We love you Benjamin and I am so happy to be your mom.
----------
Since he is 4 now I am starting a new tradition where I ask him a few questions and he answers them :) I hope you enjoy!
