2015 Goals + January Goals
Happy New Year friends!
This is the perfect time to write down dreams and goals
To reach high or small
Today is the day to say "I can and I will".
This year I ordered Lara's 2015 Powersheets as a Christmas gift to myself. I heard of these last year and this was the year to dig into them and see what happens. I took the last two weeks of 2014 to fill out the powersheets prep and then my January tending list as she calls it.
One of my favorite parts of the powersheets is looking back at 2014 and what worked and what didn't work.
What worked in 2014
being more encouraging to Josh
more hugs
eating better
working out almost daily
learning more about motherhood
starting a bible study in the spring/summer
writing an ebook
building friendships
quality family time
keeping a journal and bible time each day
What didn't work in 2014
too much coffee (didn't help my thyroid)
didn't listen sometimes, spoke too soon or interrupted
not having patience and yelling
worrying
comparison many times
being careless with money and not thinking through some purchases
date nights not planned consistently
Working through each of the prep sheets has really helped me align my goals to what fires me up, what I want to fill my jar more and what my core says. Those are so vital to really do what you love and what matters most.
I also picked a word for the third year in a row.
My Word For This Year
My Verse For This Year
Psalm 31:24
"Be strong and let your heart take courage..."
This year is the year to step out in many ways and do some things that make me nervous, some that have been in the making for awhile and others to bring heart to all I do in my role as a wife and mom. Don't let other people's goals (and even mine) discourage you to not set some for yourself. You know what makes your soul happy, what will bring true satisfaction and what will help you grow. Do those.
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
C.S. Lewis
2015 Goals
Lose 15 pounds
Get ready to move to Dallas (beginning of next year)
Monthly Dates with Josh
Monthly dates with each boy
Go to Blogging Conference
Grow my blog (more meaningful posts and inspiration for women)
Read 100 books
Have PEACE in the home (more worship music, follow a cleaning schedule, lighting more candles)
Meaningful relationships with friends and family (to grow and to encourage others)
Open my shop (eeep! more to come!)
So to reach your yearly goals you need to set monthly goals or as Lara puts it a tending list for the month to make steps to reach each of your 2015 goals.
Take the leap, you can do this!

Another great way to see your goals is to make a Pinterest visual board of them! You can check out mine here. I would love to see yours, leave a link below! I am excited for 2015 and can't wait for the many adventures that are waiting.
Go do them friend!
